I am obsessed with creating themed playlists on Spotify. I don’t go more than two days without some form of alcohol touching my lips and I don’t go more than two days without updating a playlist.
So here are four of my favourite and, I suppose, well liked Spotify playlists.
NEWEST
All the newest tunes of the pop kind with sprinklings of indie, electropop, dance and R&B. This gets updated quite a bit.
DANCING WITH HIPSTERS
A comprehensive mix (and it has been specially ordered to flow cohesively from one track to the next) of cool dance and indie electro. Names like Kiesza, Clean Bandit, Disclosure, Jess Glynn, Little Boots and Flume will pop up.
CRYING AT THE DISCO
My favourite style of music: dance ballads. I’m talking melancholy, tear-streaked lyrics over thumping club beats. All the tunes you need to dance the pain away, compliments of Sia, Robyn, Tove Lo, Cher, Girls Aloud, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and more.
FEELING YOUNG
Fuck. Way to make those born before the mid-90s feel old. This is a feel good playlist dedicated to pop stars of this present day and generation. We’re talking all your Maximum Pop! faves like The Vamps, One Direction, Little Mix, Neon Jungle, Cher Lloyd Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus etc.
